El acostumbrado Punto Nevado de los sábados se activó, como cada 21 días, en el Parque Temático Armando Reverón, y permitió brindar atención a más de 160 animales, entre caninos y felinos, en un esfuerzo articulado con el Colectivo Nevado La Guaira y la Fundación Regional Niño Simón La Guaira.

Entre los servicios gratuitos brindados por la Misión Nevado La Guaira se efectuaron consultas veterinarias, desparasitación, vacunación antirrábica, corte de uñas, limpieza de oídos y ojos, además de la aplicación de tratamientos y vitaminas. Mientras que fue opcional la colocación de las vacunas sextuple y triplefelina, además de desparasitantes de amplio espectro – a un precio solidario – ya que estos suministros médicos fueron ofrecidos por el Colectivo Nevado.
Es importante destacar que la jornada se subdivide en dos puntos de atención: los servicios gratuitos de Nevado, que incluyen la consulta veterinaria; y otro punto, en el que, previa evaluación veterinaria, se le ofrece al responsable de los animales la opción de colocarles a bajo costo las vacunas triplefelina y séxtuple, según sea felino o canino, es decir, que dos veterinarios son supervisores y garantes de preservar siempre la salud de los animales de compañía y comunitarios.
Este Punto Nevado de Macuto viene a reforzar el trabajo que se efectúa desde los dos Centros Veterinarios Integrales CVI, ubicados uno en Tanaguarena y otro en Playa Grande, así como el Punto Nevado La Salina.
