Se desplomó un barranco de 10 metros en la mina Paraiba de San José de Wadamapa, en IKabarú, Bolívar, dejando al menos 18 venezolanos muertos y 3 brasileños lesionados.
Una parte de esta mina colapsó el pasado 12 noviembre, pero solo hubo heridos, sin embargo, siguió operando.

La ONG SOS Orinoco denuncia que la tragedia se pudo evitar, por lo que responsabiliza a las autoridades militares del sector 7 Ikabarú, que permitieron que esa mina siguiera operando.
