La primera vicepresidenta de la Comisión Nacional de Primaria (CNP), María Carolina Uzcátegui, informó que para finales del mes de julio se anunciará el número de centros de votación activos para las próximas elecciones el 22 de octubre tanto dentro como fuera del país, así como el total de las mesas dispuestas a recibir los votos de quienes participen.
La vocera de la CNP dijo que en los 15 días que restan para dar esas cifras, se lleva a cabo el proceso del reparo de más de 120 mil casos que iniciaron el proceso de inscripción para actualizar datos en el exterior. En ese sentido, el trabajo de las juntas regionales adquiere relevancia para hacer pesquisas en los centros de votación elegidos y constatar su buen estado.
Además, se deben distribuir los votantes en cada centro de votación tanto en el exterior como dentro del territorio nacional para que puedan saber la mesa en la que les toca votar. Dijo que una vez realizado el proceso, se debe hacer la selección de los miembros de mesa y el adiestramiento de todo el personal que laborará en los comicios primarios.
Uzcátegui destacó que en la primera semana de agosto, los 14 candidatos que participan en la primaria deberán firmar un programa mínimo de gobierno, donde se estipulen algunas líneas generales, así como también organizar los demás debates de los aspirantes.
Ratificó, además que próximamente se llevará a cabo una reunión con los candidatos para definir acuerdos; agregó que se le solicitará a los cuerpos policiales que puedan prestar protección para los centros escogidos el día de las primarias.
