Para el período escolar 2023-2024, Fausto Romeo, vicepresidente de la Asociación de Institutos Educativos Privados (Andiep), señaló que muchos venezolanos buscarán alternativas más económicas para inscribir a sus hijos en los colegios.

“Va a haber mucho movimiento, la gente va a empezar a buscar alternativas. Ya lo veremos en octubre, pero habrá esos cambios”, añadió Romeo, afirmando que existe una situación económica en los hogares que se tendrá que comprender.
En ese sentido, estimó que entre 8% y 9% de los padres buscarán otras instituciones educativas privadas con matrículas más accesibles. “Al darse ese movimiento, posiblemente vaya a verse afectada un poco la economía de esa institución”, comentó.
Además, enfatizó que la educación privada representa el 15% de todo el sistema educativo de Venezuela. Destacando que la dificultad que tienen los colegios privados es la dependencia de las cuotas que aportan los padres: «no hay créditos, no hay posibilidad de inversión».
